Q1: How should I set up the appointment?​​

A. Please check with us on the fees before requesting for an appointment. Once you are okay with the fees, we can set up a convenient time either in Fremont or Santa Clara office.  Please bring preferably HARD COPIES of all the main the tax documents (W2, 1098, 1099's) when you come. Reason:- We like to create a folder for with all the tax documents. If you don't have a printer, please email us at-least a day in advance so that we can have this printed before your appointment. We are only taking appointments over email

Q2: How do I come prepared?

A. On the very bottom of our Home page, there are two PDF documents that you can refer to gather all the revelant tax documents. If you have a rental real estate or business income, please make sure that you complete the rental income and business income sections before you come for the appointment. We may refuse to work with you if you don't come prepared with all the tax documents when you come for the appointment.

​Q3: We used your services last year. How come you don't give us an appointment for this year?

A. It could be a variety of reasons. Most common ones are:

  • We are not too fond of your bargaining skills
  • Too aggressive on claiming certain deductions which we are not comfortable with
  • Not being organized at the appointment and takes too much time for completing the return
  • Personalities doesn't seem to fit based on prior year experience
  • Makes multiple changes to the numbers and especially close to the tax filing deadline 
  • Doesn't respond to emails or calls

Remember: A bus must accept everyone who is waiting at every bus stop. A CPA or a Tax Professional is NOT a bus.

Q4: Do you offer free Consultation?

A. We do not offer free consultation. Our consultation fees is $250/hr (or $125/ half hour). We don't offer consultation services during the months of January to April as we will be busy with tax season and bookkeeping work. Please call 1-800-829-1040 to get free tax advice.

Q5: I have my W2. Can you give us a refund estimate?

A. Certainly. All you have to do is pay our fees and then send the W2 and we will send you the refund information. Without pre-payment of fees, we cannot offer this service. And by the way, NO refund of your fees paid if you find someone or some place else who offers a higher discount. If you are shopping around for refund, you are at the wrong place my friend. Try online software like Turbo Tax , it is FREE!

​Q6: Who prepares the tax return and  How long does it take to prepare my tax return?

A. Your Tax return will be prepared by one these theree- Me, Myself or I.  Depending on how complex your tax return is. It could take anywhere between 15 mins to 1.5 hrs to prepare your tax return.

​Q7: Do we need to file the tax return at the end of the appointment?

A. No, in fact we prefer you go back and review the return at your leisure.  However, our fees is due at the end of the tax appointment, We will email you or copy into your USB drive, the tax return in PDF format for you to review. If we need to make any changes, we will make them and give you the updated tax return . Once you are Okay the return,we will electronically file it for you. No additional visits to our office is required for filing after the initial appointment

​Q8: Can you help with preparing my taxes remotely?

A. Yes and we do it all the time. All you need to do is email/ Fax/ Mail us the documents and our fees (which can be paid thru Paypal/ Deposit into our Chase bank account/ Send us a check). Since paypal charges us a fees an additional 2.7% will be added to cover the paypal fees

​Q9: Can I get a discount?

A.  Please do not try to negotiate our fees after the completion of work.  We also do not offer any special discounts based on your employer ( e.g. Cisco, IBM)

​Q10: I decided to file taxes of my own, can you refund me the  fees that you charged ?

A.  Sorry! We do not refund any of our fees. Our fees are for our time whether or not you file with us

​Q11: My tax return is very simple ?

A.  If it very simple, we highly recommend you to prepare it yourself. This way, you can save our fees.

​Q12: I have already prepared my return thru web based software (like turbo tax). I wanted to check what the refund will be on your software. Can you do that?

A: Absolutely not. Please note that if you can prepare yourself, kindly do so and please do not use us to test what your refund would be on our professional software.  We believe that as long as the income and deductions are entered correctly,all the tax preparation software should show the same tax liability.  So you are better off doing yourself and saving our fees!

​Q13: I have already prepared my return thru web based software (like turbo tax) or thru another Tax Professional. Could you review my return for any errors?

A:   Sorry, we don't offer this service

Q14: What are the days work in Santa Clara and Fremont?

A. We work most evenings and weekends in Fremont location. We may be able to meet you during normal business hours on certain days at our Santa Clara office by appoinment.

​Q15: What are your fee for book keeping and payroll services?

A: It is difficult to quote you a fee for book keeping and payroll services without scoping out the nature of the work and volume. Please contact us for a quote.

​Q16: I like to set up a business, can you help?

A: Yes, absolutely. We offer free consultation and we offer business set up services. Our fees for Small Business Setup Services starts with $400 (includes EIN No, Filing all necessary forms with secretary of state for business formation and IRS filings)

​Q17: How and when should I pay for your services?

A: We accept check or credit cards and we expect payment at the end of our tax preparation appointment. Please note that full payment is expected at the end of your tax preparation appointment even if you decide to go back and review your return before filing. Please note we charge 2.7% extra for PayPal and Credit Card transactions

Note: If you are remote client, we would require advance payment of our fees for our services. We will send you a link to pay our fee using your bank information or thru Credit Card (for extra 2.7% fees)

​Q18: What is your cancellation policy?

A: You can always cancel your appointment with us anytime.  However, we request you to kindly inform us if you cannot make it so that we can use that time more efficiently rather than waiting for you and trying to get in touch with you over the phone/email.

​Q19  Who should I write the check for my Federal and State Tax Payments?

A:   For Federal, send the check or money order to "United States Treasury" and write your SSN on the check or money order. For California State, send the check to " Franchise Tax Board" with your SSN on the check or money order.

​Q20  How do I make payroll tax payments ?

A:   If possible, you should make the payments online within the time period to avoid any penalties. CA state payroll deductions are submitted to EDD. You can pay online using Just Pay It or EFT payment methods.

Federal tax payments need to be submitted to IRS using EFTPS. Here are the steps:

  • Enroll in to EFTPS website using your bank account and receive PIN within a week
  • Call 1-800-555-4477 using the PIN to get the temporary password
  • Log on to EFTPS or Call 1-800-555-3453 using your EIN/PIN to make the payment

Q21:  Can I get a soft copy of my tax returns?

A:  Yes, absolutely. We request you to send us an email at the time of completion of tax appointment. We will email you the tax return as PDF with password protection for additional security. Please note that we will not email you the tax returns until any outstanding dues is settled.
